Project Overview
LTL Kung Fu School is a traditional Jow Ga Kung Fu school led by Sifu Lam Tu Luan, with a long-standing history of teaching Kung Fu in Brisbane since 1988.
Dazza’s Design worked with LTL Kung Fu School to modernise its digital presence and support the school through an important period of growth and change — including recruiting new students, relocating the school and promoting its reopening at a new training facility.
The project brought together website design, social media marketing and promotional print design to create a consistent visual and promotional presence across digital and physical channels.
The Challenge
LTL Kung Fu School needed a stronger online presence that reflected the experience, professionalism and community behind the school.
The project also came at a significant transition point for the business. The school was relocating and preparing to reopen at a new location, creating a need to:
- Attract new students and generate enquiries
- Communicate the relocation clearly
- Build awareness around the reopening
- Promote the benefits of training at LTL Kung Fu
- Maintain engagement with existing students and followers
- Present the school with a more modern and professional digital presence
- Create promotional material that could be used both online and offline
The challenge was to bring all of these communications together while retaining the traditional character and values of the LTL Kung Fu School.
The Website Re-Design
The website was redesigned to provide a clearer, more engaging experience for prospective students while making it easier to understand what LTL Kung Fu offers.
The new website presents the school as more than simply a martial arts academy. It communicates Kung Fu as a way of developing fitness, confidence, discipline, coordination, self-defence and personal growth.
The website structure was developed around the different training pathways available, including:
- Adult and teen Kung Fu
- Kids’ Kung Fu
- Traditional Kung Fu weapons training
- Private Kung Fu training
- Dragon and Lion Dance workshops
- Information about the school and its teacher
- Student stories and testimonials
- Contact and introductory lesson enquiries
The site also places a strong emphasis on the welcoming and community-focused nature of the school, helping remove the perception that Kung Fu is only for experienced martial artists.
The current website promotes the school’s reopening and new location while providing prospective students with information about classes and the benefits of training.
Social Media Recruitment Campaign
A social media campaign was developed to help LTL Kung Fu attract new students and build awareness during the relocation and reopening period.
The campaign focused on communicating the benefits of Kung Fu rather than simply promoting class times.
Content was developed around themes such as:
Fitness & Health
Showing how Kung Fu can improve strength, fitness, coordination and overall wellbeing.
Confidence & Self-Development
Highlighting the personal growth, discipline and confidence that students can develop through training.
Self-Defence
Communicating the practical self-defence aspects of Jow Ga Kung Fu.
Community
Showing that students become part of a supportive community rather than simply attending a fitness class.
Recruitment
Creating promotional content encouraging people to enquire, try an introductory lesson and begin their Kung Fu journey.
Relocation & Reopening
Keeping followers informed about the school’s move, the new training location and the reopening.
This approach helped turn social media into an important part of the school’s recruitment and relaunch strategy.
Relocation & Reopening Promotion
One of the key components of the project was communicating the school’s transition to a new location.
Rather than treating the relocation as simply an address change, the campaign presented it as a new chapter for LTL Kung Fu School.
Promotional messaging was used to build anticipation and encourage existing followers and prospective students to stay connected for reopening information.
The website now prominently communicates the reopening and new location, helping ensure that people discovering the school online receive current information.
Promotional Print Material
Alongside the digital campaign, promotional print material was developed to extend the school’s marketing beyond the website and social media.
The printed material was designed to maintain consistency with the school’s digital presence and provide a practical way to promote LTL Kung Fu in the local community.
Materials could be used for:
- Student recruitment
- Local community promotion
- Distribution at events
- Promoting introductory lessons
- Promoting the new location
- Supporting the reopening campaign
The combination of digital and printed promotional material gave LTL Kung Fu a more cohesive marketing presence.
Bringing Everything Together
A key part of the project was ensuring that the different marketing channels worked together.
The website became the central destination for people wanting to learn more about LTL Kung Fu, while social media helped generate awareness and engagement. Printed promotional material provided another way to reach people within the local community.
The overall marketing journey was designed to move people from:
Awareness → Interest → Website Visit → Enquiry → Introductory Lesson → New Student
The Result
The project gave LTL Kung Fu School a refreshed digital presence and a coordinated promotional platform to support its next stage.
The redesigned website provides a clearer way for prospective students to understand the school’s training programs, philosophy and benefits, while the social media and promotional campaigns support student recruitment and awareness.
Most importantly, the project helped position LTL Kung Fu as a modern, welcoming training academy while maintaining the school’s traditional Jow Ga Kung Fu heritage and the personal approach of Sifu Lam Tu Luan.
